AJAX Women's Basketball Club

In the biggest merger since sliced bread and a toaster, City Rise Men’s Basketball Club & Ajax Women’s basketball club came together to join forces for 2022. The Ajax club are the powerhouse of Dunedin women’s basketball. With multiple titles throughout the years they are the current reigning champions for the 2022 season. Under the tutelage of former Otago Nugget and WNBL Gold Rush coach Todd Marshall, the Ajax club have seen many of their players reach higher honours from American colleges to representing New Zealand 3x3 teams, national age-group teams as well as the New Zealand Tall Ferns. Ajax Women’s Basketball Club has proved they are not only successful but a foundation to growing the women’s game within the region. City Rise are honoured to merger with them for a long time to come.
